The Kanawha Valley Collective (KVC) is the local Continuum of Care, a collaborative network of providers serving Boone, Clay, Kanawha and Putnam Counties. This project reduced and prevented homelessness by providing emergency shelter, permanent housing, and job skills to our community’s most vulnerable citizens.
Lawyer in the School stabilizes the lives Kanawha County School families by providing free onsite legal assistance at Mary C. Snow and Grandview Elementary with issues like eviction, disrupted income and child permanency. In 2020, service was provided through educational workshops and walk-through clinics designed to educate caregivers in an effort to reduce childhood trauma and promote conditions for educational success.
