Keep Your Faith Corporation

West Side Grown Extension is a collaboration among Keep Your Faith Corporation (KYFC), local farmers, and Mary C. Snow West Side Elementary, Piedmont Elementary, Kanawha County Youth Report, and WVSU Extension. The project brought fresh, healthy and local foods to elementary students and their families while promoting entrepreneurial skills and agricultural literacy.

Kanawha Valley Collective

The Kanawha Valley Collective (KVC) is the local Continuum of Care, a collaborative network of providers serving Boone, Clay, Kanawha and Putnam Counties. This project reduced and prevented homelessness by providing emergency shelter, permanent housing, and job skills to our community’s most vulnerable citizens.

WV Woman Work

Step Up for Women Construction Pre-Apprenticeship is a tuition-free 12 week training program of West Virginia Women Work, Inc. The course helped adult students overcome barriers to employment and placed participants into living wage nontraditional careers in the construction industry.

FestivALL 2020 included virtual music, theatre, dance, visual art performance, exhibition, and learning opportunities. In fulfillment of the FestivALL mission, this project created, produced, and presented vibrant arts experiences and entertainment opportunities while serving as a catalyst for others in the community to do the same.

Legal Aid of West Virginia

Lawyer in the School stabilizes the lives Kanawha County School families by providing free onsite legal assistance at Mary C. Snow and Grandview Elementary with issues like eviction, disrupted income and child permanency. In 2020, service was provided through educational workshops and walk-through clinics designed to educate caregivers in an effort to reduce childhood trauma and promote conditions for educational success.
