LANGUAGE FOR A BEQUEST

To make a bequest, donors may use the following language:

“I give, devise, and bequeath to The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation

(Tax I. D. # 55-6024430, a non-profit, charitable foundation in Charleston, West Virginia

(a).     The sum of $___________________________: or,

(b).      _____________percent of my estate; or,

(c).      all the rest, remainder and residue of my estate, including property over which I

shall have power of appointment at my passing, after all debts, taxes and

expenses and other bequests have been satisfied….

“..to foster and promote the growth, progress and general welfare of

           The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation

(a).      as the Foundation’s Trustees may direct; or

(b).     to establish a fund to be known as the “____________________________Fund,”

a permanent Fund from which disbursements will be made for the support of

______________________________________________________________.
