Specific preferences:

  • Graduate from a high school in one of the following counties; Boone, Clay, Fayette, Kanawha, Putnam and Raleigh and must maintain an overall 3.0 GPA
  • Student may renew scholarship three times in the three following calendar years by maintaining full-time student status with a minimum of 2.7 GPA. If student fails to qualify for any one year, he/she may subsequently requalify for the remaining original term of the award, but may not re-qualify for the second time if he/she fails to maintain qualifications for a second time.
  • Must be enrolled in a four-year Bachelor of Science Degree Program in one of the following disciplines at an accredited institution located in the United States;

    a. Mining Engineering,

    b. Civil Engineering,

    c. Mechanical Engineering,

    d. Electrical Engineering,

    e. Environmental Engineering,

    f. Industrial Engineering

    g. Geotechnical Engineering

    h. Safety Engineering
